Title: The Rebirth of Sin Author: Courtney Lane Genre: Dark/Gritty Type: Series. Wicked Trinity series, Book 2 Rating: 5 stars
"Welcome to the first day of the start of your real rebirth.”
The Rebirth of Sin is the continuation to The Sect. My, oh my, what a continuation to the trilogy. Whereas The Sect was truly dark and twisty, The Rebirth of Sin was totally on a league on its own. This book was totally shocking and the plot was the darkest I have ever read. Seriously, wanted to stop reading this book but I just could not because it was so suspenseful and addictive that I wanted to read more and more. I thought I was going insane but hey, this book is really insane so yep, it affected me like no other.
Keaton has escaped all the horrors and nightmares she experienced at Rebirth and she begins to start her life and rebuilding her life with Noah. As always, her judgement is always clouded and she seems to make bad decisions about her life and yet not know she is danger. She begins to experience that sometimes you must not trust people. This book was just twisty and really messed my brain a lot. I mean, the amount of content in this book were really fucked up. Some parts were cringe worthy To the point I had to close my eyes a lot. Some parts were just scary. I have to praise Courtney Lane for writing such a heart pumping story. Truly genius. This book was truly a masterpiece. The writing itself as fantastic as always. Compelling and addictive. I loved it and I could not get enough it. The Rebirth of Sin really had me so emotional. Trust me, I was a deranged while I was reading it. Lol, it was truly funny.
Noah proved to be pure evil. He did unspeakable things to Keaton and I wanted to kill him. He was dangerous as I thought and Keaton could not even see that. Sad. He was truly a villain even though I loved him too much. Lol, I really did like how evil he was. Yes, he wanted to purge the evil from the world but yap he was evil. Never expected that. Keaton was truly naïve. Felt I wanted to hit her in the face because she could not see to clearly, At times, I wanted to feel sorry for her but at other times I wanted her to wake. We are also introduced to Braeden. He was so sweet and protective. Or is he? You have to read and find out about him.
I loved this book despite the craziness that happens in this book and I wanted to read more of it. It does end with a cliffhanger(not fair), I cannot wait for book 3
