Title: Worth the Wait
Author: K.M. Neuhold
Genre: New Adult
Rating: 4 stars
I love reading books from new authors. It makes me feel good when I discover new authors. What makes it sweeter is enjoying a book from an author you just discovered. Worth the Wait is a compelling and beautiful debut book from K.M. Neuhold that I simply enjoyed and also loved.
Abby is a young woman with a dark and painful past. She meets Ethan, a womanizer and sparks start to fly between them. They develop feelings for each other. Abby finds it hard to battle with the tragedy in her past and puts a strain in her relationship with Ethan. Will Abby let her past chase away the man she is starting to fall for? Will she finally trust her heart? I loved the storyline of Worth the Wait. I felt that it was well developed and offered a crisp and clear flow that I was able to follow. I was so shocked because Worth the Wait is a New Adult romance but there was so much angst and emotion that was so well developed that I felt that it was not New Adult. That's what I loved the most. I was gravitating towards the emotion in he story that my eyes were glued to the book. It was mesmerizing. My only criticism is that the hot scenes were a bit too rushed that. But I understand that the author wanted us to focus to the story which I loved.
I loved the characters in Worth the Wait. I loved that the chemistry was not forced at all. Each of the characters were so well developed and I enjoyed it. Abby had a terrible past and I really felt for her but I loved that she was strong and sassy. She had the right dose of vulnerability and also the right dose of strength that made her a likable character. Ethan was so hot in this story but I loved that he was changing his personality. He was such a manwhore but there was more to him as being loving and caring.
Worth the Wait was a sweet and emotional story that was truly special. I loved that I got the chance to read this story. I will reading more from K.M. Neuhold.
