He’s the boss. But she’s ready to take charge.
In this provocative and sexy* office romance, a cheeky new hire tempts a hotshot sports agent to mix business with pleasure.
Jenny: Job interviews are a bitch under the best of circumstances, but when your potential boss is the world’s biggest prick, that’s when you should simply walk away. It’s just that I need this job so badly—and I’m mesmerized by Ethan Mason’s piercing gaze. Men like him aren’t supposed to exist in real life. But under the tailored suits and GQ looks, Ethan simmers with barely restrained ambition. And no matter how hard I work to fight the attraction, I’m going to get burned.
Ethan: You don’t become a top agent without learning how to close deal. I always get what—or who—I want, by staying cool and in command. Then Jenny Jackson walks into my office with her lush curves and “screw you” attitude and blows away my intentions of keeping things professional. All I can think about is exploring the perfect body hidden beneath those conservative clothes or shutting her saucy mouth with one hot kiss. Jenny’s worth breaking the rules over—if I can convince her to break the rules for me.
*By sexy, we mean sexy. Like, 18+ sexy.
My Rating: 4 stars
OMG. i absolutely adored reading Bossed. It was a book that certainly tickled my bones in a huge way. When I started reading Bossed, it hooked me in from the first page and I got such a rush and a sublime feeling that I could not help but smile. It made me so darn happy. It reminded me of those romantic comedies that gives yo butterflies and sweetest feelings ever. Bossed gave me butterflies. I do not normally read rom com but if it is written by Sloane Howell, I will definitely read because he gives something totally unique and you just cannot help but just fall in love with his books.
Bossed totally made me feel good. It is a pleasant read that totally gives you a soothing feeling and you only wanted to just sit down and fully let the book take you on a ride. Bossed really brought out a lot of emotions in me. It made me laugh. It made me smile. It made me angry. It made swoon. It was such a delightful and charming story that made me melt and just brought a slight giddiness in me. It was definitely a goldmine in my eyes. Humorous, sarcastic and witty. Bossed combined both Sloane Howell's signature style of witty banter that made the story so infectious. It certainly touched me a whole lot more. I always love Sloane Howell's books because they are books that feed the soul. Sometimes that is all you need. In Bossed, I would have wanted more for the story. I felt certain parts of the story were too rushed and I think some parts needed more development. It did deliver on heat and I did feel it but I would have wanted more on the plot.
Bossed introduced us to Jenny, an accountant and Ethan, a sports agent who both had so much chemistry between. They had such witty banter that totally made me laugh but also have a connection to them that I really liked a lot. I would have wanted Sloane Howell to develop their relationship a bit more but I totally loved Jenny and Ethan together. They seemed to bring the best in each other. Jenny was snarky, sarcastic, funny and feisty. I loved that she held no bras a t all and could go toe to toe with Ethan. He had so much fierceness I certainly enjoyed. I loved her loyalty to her dad and her love for him showed she had a vulnerability that gave an edge to her character. I love assholes and Ethan was asshole. A big douche but I fell in love with him. I know he wanted control in all aspects of his life but it was so funny to see him fumble a lot. Downright hilarious. He did have some flaws but come on he was one hot male perfection I wanted to take a sweet ride on. Just saying lol.
Bossed certainly an awesome read and it made me love Sloane Howell's writing even more.
